HISTOry

In 1929, Uichi Yuki opened a car repair shop in Tokyo and thus became one of the founders of Yuki Manufacturing Works. After two years, the company started to produce machine tools, later started production of honing machines and in 1941 shifted to the manufacturing of hydraulic pumps and valves.

The shop quickly became successful, and so in 1952 Uichi Yuki founded the production company Yatukiki Kenkyuusho, focusing on hydraulic components and equipment production. Four years later, this company was renamed Yuken Kogyo. In 1960, the Yuken Fujisawa plant was built, where the main office was moved four years later.

With increasing demands for Yuken's products, the Yuken Taiwan manufacturing company was founded in 1969. Just one year later, the company's management supported the founding of a research and development center in Kanagawa and shortly after that, operations in the Sagami factory were launched in the same location.

Between 1976 and 1980, the Yuken company expanded into new areas, and so in 1976, the Yuken India Ltd subsidiary was established in India, Yuken Kogyo Ltd. (Hong Kong) two years after and finally Yuken Europe in 1980.

Depending on the increased demand for hydraulic systems, more demanding projects have been transferred to the Sagami plant since 1984. In 1986, the modern components assembly center was also established.

Yuci Yuken Hydraulics Ltd. became another company subsidiary, which was established in China in 1992 as a distributor of Yuken products.

In 1996, the Yuken company received an ISO 9001 certificate.

Due to increasing demand on the Chinese market, the Yuken Hydraulics (D G) Ltd. company was founded in 2001.

In 2005, the Yuken company received ISO 14001 certification.

Throughout the years, Yuken has grown with more offices in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Romania and the Czech Republic.
